CHRISTIAN DIOR, COUTURIER DU RÊVE

Visiting Paris is always enchanting for me. The architecture, the food and most importantly the fashion, are absolutely incredible. Everyone should have the chance to visit this magical city. This time I had the chance to explore the amazing world of Christian Dior. The exhibition ‘Christian Dior, Couturier du rêve’ lets you delve into the brilliant designer’s inspirations and beautiful designs as well as his successor’s, including the talented: Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferre, John Galliano, Raf Simons and Dior’s first female creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri. All of them contributed to the timeless brand by creating beautiful, unforgettable designs.

It was a pleasure for me to see designs that I have researched and read about. Including the marvellous Raf Simons dresses inspired by Sterling Ruby. The innovative flower compositions by John Galliano and the ‘Junon’ dress that has become one of my favorite creations, designed in 1949 by Christian Dior himself.

Walking from hall to hall full of endless creations that have left a mark in the fashion world was an absolute dream. Celebrating the 70th Anniversary since the creation of House of Dior, The Musee des les Arts Decoratifs invites you on a voyage through all the eras that the Dior creations have dominated, from back in the 1940s till modern times. ‘The Dior Gardens’ , ‘The Dior Ball’ let you enter the enchanting world of Dior. I saw a grand amount of beauty in one day. Lucky to have experienced this and to share with you the magic that is ‘Dior’.

If you find yourself in Paris, this is a must see exhibition.
